DESCRIPTION

Dream Land Nursery Is a British-French Pre-School Situated in the Heart of Doha. We provide high quality day care and early education for children aged 2 months through 4 years old. We follow both the British Early years foundation stage curriculum and the French curriculum, giving parents the option for their children to be taught in French or English languages.We have a range of both qualified and experienced staff. Staff who are not suitably qualified but have experience working in professional settings receive in-house training on the mandatory requirements of what a child practitioner needs to know to work within the childcare profession.

At Dream Land our aim is to provide a safe, secure and caring environment for all our children and a very high quality, integrated early education and child care service to children from 2 months to 4 years old. Our experienced team realize how important it is for your child to settle quickly and happily into our Nursery. They are experts in identifying the specific needs of your child as he or she progresses through these pre-school years

Curriculum

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is made up of six areas of Learning and Development

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

• We provide experiences and necessary support allowing children to develop a positive sense of themselves and of others; respect for others; a self-control; social skills; a positive disposition to learn and to have confidence in their own abilities.

Creative Development

• We provide children with a whole range of opportunities to develop their natural curiosity, willingness to try things out and other creative skills, through music, art, dance, role-play and imaginative play.

Physical Development

• We give children the best opportunities to improve their skills of coordination, control, manipulation and movement through using a large scale equipment and taking part in activities and games. Also physical activity is an effective stress buster and therefore helps to promote confidence, happiness and healthy self-esteem.

Communication, Language and Literacy

• We provide opportunities to children to experience a word-rich language environment; to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves; gain a sound understanding of language; and to speak and listen in a range of situations.

Knowledge and Understanding of The World

• We give children the opportunity to explore and investigate their surroundings; handle new materials; experiment; describe; compare; discuss; predict and share their thinking.

Problem Solving Reasoning and Numeracy

• We provide opportunities for all children to develop their understanding of numbers, measurements, patterns, shapes and spaces by providing a broad range of contexts in which they can explore, enjoy, learn, practice and talk about them.
