DESCRIPTION

WELCOME to STEP ONE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. We are a recently established school offering a first rate education following the British National Curriculum for classes from Pre-School (KG) to Year 6 (Key stages 1- 3). While we believe a very modern approach to teaching is necessary, we at Step One International School also wish to instil traditional Islamic and local cultural values into our children.

At Step One International School we recognize that children learn most effectively through investigation and experience and that each child is unique, has the right to be happy and to express themselves. 

Through teamwork between parents, staff and children, where we aim to positively motive using praise and reward for all efforts and by supporting each child individually to suit their needs. Parental involvement is extremely important.

Curriculum
Step One International School prepares students to meet the growing challenges of a rapidly changing world. The SIS academic programme is based on the UK National Curriculum that provides a comprehensive, international programme of study which aims to equip every student with the essential skills for lifelong learning and meet individual learning needs. SIS encourages independence and self-discipline in an atmosphere of mutual respect and appreciation of diverse opinions and cultures. SIS curriculum, determines the precise content that will be taught and provides attainment targets for student learning, including how that performance will be assessed and reported. The SIS programme gives teachers, students and parents a clear and shared understanding of the skills and knowledge that children will gain at school.

Admissions
Step One International School welcome students from all nationalities from both the local and international communities and
a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds. Students are admitted throughout the school year where and when
space is available.
