All- through School

The Royal Grammar School, Guildford in Qatar is proud to be bringing over 500 years of academic excellence to Qatar. The school is due to open this autumn (2016), for girls and boys between three and six years of age (Reception, Nursery, Year 1 and 2), with older students up to age 18 being admitted into the single-sex Senior School over the coming years.

A British Curriculum with Traditional Values

The School is located in the Um Salal Mohammed area, just 10 minutes drive from Landmark, and follows a bespoke British curriculum developed at RGS Guildford which is designed to challenge and inspire. The language of instruction is English and student expectations are high.

Academic Excellence

RGS Guildford is considered to be one of the finest education establishments in the UK with examination results that consistently see the School appear at or near the top of the British school league tables. This year’s GCSE and A level results were no exception. At GCSE level a school record-breaking 96.3% of all grades were secured at A* or A, whilst the A level results were similarly impressive with 78% of the grades secured at A* or A grade.  Students who attend the school are well prepared for entry into some of the world’s exceptional learning institutions. Last year, over 30% of RGS Guildford students went on to study at either Oxford or Cambridge University, with almost all of the remaining students being accepted in to one of the prestigious Russell Group of Universities.

The facilities of the School will be amongst the finest in Qatar, with top quality sporting amenities, including basketball and volleyball courts, a football field and an all-year round swimming pool. Admissions

The Royal Grammar School, Guildford in Qatar is now open for admissions for 2016/2017 entry and all pupils must undergo a detailed assessment before being accepted. Whilst selective, the School is also inclusive and children are accepted based upon their ability to develop and thrive at the School.
