Qatar Skills Academy is fast becoming one of the most established providers for human capital development here in Doha, Qatar. Guided by the Qatar National Vision 2030, we have developed an enhanced range of programs and courses in conjunction with established internationally recognised awarding bodies to serve the training and educational needs of the greater community. Our areas of focus are on higher education pathways, professional development programs and vocational industry based training programs. Since our inception we have developed hundreds of individuals, trained dozens of organisations and provide a global standard of training delivered locally. Qatar Skills Academy provides pathways leading to university degrees through our internationally accredited and certified training programs. As an Ed-Excel approved training center we run vocational BTEC courses in Business Studies that allow students to pursue their undergraduate studies locally and complete their education at a university of their choice in the future. To us learning should be fun and exciting. In our experience, our students enjoy vocational programmes because they can specialise in areas of learning linked with work that they are interested in. It is also 100% assignment and practical based with no examinations and thus cater more towards skill development rather than rote learning or memorizing. They can also choose to pursue a career through a vocational qualification as a fast track route to employment.

Programmes Offered

Qatar Skills Academy Offers BTEC in Business courses from Level 3 to Level 5 suitable for both school leavers and working professionals working their way to a university degree qualification. BTEC qualifications are UK based qualifications under EdExcel, the largest awarding body for education in the world. BTEC is undertaken in further education, six forms, colleges and local training centers worldwide.

• Edexcel BTEC qualications

Edexcel and BTEC qualifications are awarded by Pearson, the UK’s largest awarding body offering academic and vocational qualifications that are globally recognised and benchmarked. Edexcel BTEC Level 3 90-credit Diploma in Business (QCF) and Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business (QCF) are designed to provide highly specialised, work-related qualifications in a range of business sectors. This qualification gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for university and employment. It is ideal for those students who prefer interactive assignments grounded in experiential learning.

• BTEC Level 3 90-Credit Diploma in Business

Progression
Learners are able to progress from Edexcel BTEC L3 90 Credit to the Edexcel BTEC extended program or take this qualification with their IGCE’s and move to a foundation degree programme. Edexcel BTEC qualifications also support Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which allows you to move into employment.

• BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business

Progression
Learners are able to progress from their BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business to the 1st year HNC programme followed by 2nd year into the HND programme. After completing the 2nd year HND programme, you might be able to join certain universities in their 2nd year bachelor degree programme provided the entrance requirements are met.

• BTEC LEVEL 3 Diploma & Extended Diploma in Business

The BTEC qualification in this specification is BTEC 90 credit Diploma & 180 Credit Extended Diploma in Business Level 3 designed to provide highly specialized, work-related qualifications in a range of business sectors. This qualification gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for university and employment.

The qualification is presented in a way that is easy to understand and measure. It enables the learners to gain a taste of how an actual career in business would be like through it's practical and case study driven course design. On successful completion of a BTEC Level 3 Extended qualification, learners can progress to or within employment or first year into selected universities. BTEC qualifications are accepted in many universities in the UK as well as internationally. Please check on your requirements with your respective university as these requirements change from time to time.

• BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Principles of Management & Leadership

This BTEC qualification is meant for those working professionals who intend to gain a qualification on a part time basis to further develop themselves professionally. Learners can progress to Edexcel Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management and Leadership or into job roles requiring a more complex set of skills such as Senior Manager role.

The Pearson BTEC HNC and HND in Business courses are ideal for those who wish to study at undergraduate level to acquire relevant skills and qualifications to become business managers. By studying these courses, students develop the core leadership and operational skills which today's organisations need. Students gain an overview of key business concepts, alongside the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world business situations. Through case studies, engaging projects and group work, we will take you closer to the dynamic challenges faced by today's managers. Successful completion of the Level 4 HNC Diploma which has a course duration of one year, allows students to gain direct entry to the second year of the Level 5 HND Diploma at Qatar Skills Academy The HNC Diploma in Business can be studied as a stand-alone programme or can form part of a three-year degree programme at various UK Universities. Successful completion of this programme allows direct entry to a one-year top-up Honours Degree.

Admission 

Complete the application form provided here and submit to Qatar Skills Academy or via an email to info@qatarskillsacademy.com.

After assessing the application forms by the academy applicant will be contacted for a preliminary exam that need to be faced before enrolling to the course.

You will receive and confirmation email from Admission staff to notify the section of the student to particular course. Then you can submit your registration form with and non-refundable registration fee to Qatar Skills Academy, Barwa Commercial Avenue office.

Fees

Training fees are due within seven (7) days from the invoice date.

Invoice for training fee will be given to the student before the semester starts.

Application and registration fees are valid for one (1) course and all training fees are non-refundable.

Training fees are subject to annual review and payment may be made by cash, or credit/debit card (subject to a processing fee) or cheque payable to Qatar Skills Academy.

Written notice of withdrawal must be given one (1) full semester prior to leaving the training institute. If such notice is not given, one (1) semester fees will be payable in lieu of notice.

An Application Fee charged upon registration of the course, will not be refunded under any circumstance
