DESCRIPTION

The Qatar International Beauty Academy was established in 2009 by the Social Development Center in order to meet the ever growing demand of the beauty industry, here, in Qatar. We aim to offer support to those professionals already working in the industry, those looking to enter the industry and to cater to those who are simply interested in enhancing their personal grooming; in turn, supporting Qatar’s 2030 vision, in raising standards & customer service across all business domains of the Qatar community.

Tajmeel is the very first of its kind in Qatar. We offer our students variety and quality by following a uniform international syllabus. We are accredited by five internationally recognized awarding bodies,aiming to meet each student’s individual demands.

We are currently dedicated and focused on serving the Qatar community in hair & beauty education. We have plans to expand in the coming years, which may potentially include satellite centers both in Qatar & around the MENA region. Furthermore, we have students from all over the gulf enrolled and are receiving interest from places as far as the United States and Japan.

QIBA - Tajmeel is a recognized authority of the Ministry of Labor Qatar after signing an agreement with the Social Development Centre (SDC) in January 2013 to support their initiative in qualifying all salons – SPA employees. This is to assist in supporting Qatari business owners in providing ongoing improved service to the Qatar community with focus being in Health & Safety.

Our students can receive certification from a choice of 5  different international awarding bodies; including, CIBTAC, VTCT, ITEC, City & Guilds and CIDESCO. They are all of the highest caliber within the hair & beauty industry. Students may also receive a certificate of completion from the Qatar International Beauty Academy upon finishing our short courses.

We have recently received the 5th accreditation from Vocational Training Charity Trust (VTCT) another globally recognized awarding body. We will start to offer the VTCT Hair Media Diploma Sept 2014.

Tajmeel offers a unique facility specifically designed to cater to the intrinsic study of beauty. It is designed to replicate the working space our students are to expect within their future jobs to give them an authentic experience. We have a full makeup vanity wall, we have transformed one of our classrooms into a full hair dressers training salon, equipped with the highest quality hair tools and products, a state of the art beauty room with massage beds & high tech equipment, a theory room with full IT facilities and a small library with a unique set of subject specific books.

We have recently launched a membership network Qatar Hair & Beauty Network ( QHBN ) which will provide an arena for professionals of our industry to share their experiences & grow together. It is our ambition to continue to grow the academy expert team providing quality training by sharing our knowledge & experience to assist the Qatar community & industry stakeholders to receive – provide safe & quality customer services; providing up to date information & developments in the industry on both safe professional hair & skin products & treatments available.
